Children’s Home

Harmony House is a registered children’s home, providing a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for up to two children, both boys and girls aged 8 to 18. We are dedicated to supporting children and young people who may be facing a range of challenges, including:

  • Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
  • Mild to moderate learning difficulties
  • Multiple placement breakdowns
  • Emergency placements
  • Attachment difficulties
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
  • Trauma or loss
  • ADHD
  • Risk of homelessness

We welcome children from diverse backgrounds and provide individualised care packages tailored to their specific needs. Harmony House offers short-term, medium-term (6 months or more), and long-term placements, based on referrals that align with our criteria.

Our approach is holistic, ensuring we continually develop our knowledge, skills, and practice to provide the highest level of care and support, enabling every young person to thrive and reach their full potential.

Referral Matching Process

To promote stable and successful placements, we carefully match each referral to our service provision, staff expertise, and the needs of the young people already in placement. Our aim is to support each young person in transitioning positively into early adulthood.

Where we identify any concerns that may negatively impact the referred child or those already in placement, we will make the decision not to proceed, providing clear and transparent feedback for that decision.
